Assist the Cafeteria Manager with daily operations of the school cafeteria. Assist in the daily projections of food items on the menu, by ensuring enough items have been ordered, are in stock, and are pulled and prepared. Assist with preparing the standardized recipes and food specifications. Prepare, set up, and serve food items in accordance with the developed recipes and menu. Process incoming goods from vendors, including food, non-food, and capital equipment. Assist in maintaining an organized and clean cold storage area, warehouse, or stockroom. Conduct periodic, perpetual, and/or annual inventory of materials, supplies, food, etc. Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local reports on food service activities. Receive cash payments: balance and close cash drawers or registers. Control, review, verify, observe, and manage the work of people reporting directly to you. Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will be required to lift, pull, and push at least 5 lbs. Reach above the head, carry objects, and maintain balance to prevent falls when walking, standing, or crouching.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
