We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Exceptional Education (ESE) Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing quality education to 3 and 4-year-old children with varying exceptionalities. This position requires expertise in supporting independent functioning skills, including assistance with toileting. The instructional approach emphasizes play-based principles, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Instructional Leadership:
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of 3 and 4-year-old students with varying exceptionalities.
- Implement play-based principles to create an engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
2. IEP Case Management:
- Serve as the Individual Education Plan (IEP) case manager for assigned students.
- Collaborate with the IEP team to develop comprehensive IEPs tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Monitor student progress towards IEP goals through systematic data collection and analysis.
3. Collaborative Planning:
- Work closely with the pre-kindergarten team to plan and implement effective instruction and learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and integrated educational approach that aligns with overall program goals.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with related service providers to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting the diverse needs of each student.
5. Kindergarten Readiness:
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure that all students are prepared for the transition to kindergarten.
- Work collaboratively with parents to address any barriers to learning and promote a positive, inclusive learning experience.

- The prekindergarten disabilities endorsement, as described in Rule 6A-4.01792, F.A.C., Specialization Requirements for the Prekindergarten Disabilities Endorsement. This endorsement can be added to primary education, elementary education (K-6), early childhood education, or any ESE Florida educator certificate.
or a valid Florida Teaching Certificate in pk education birth through age 4 OR certification in prekindergarten/primary education (age 3 through grade 3)
