Job Description

Summary: As a Senior Scrum Master within the Digital Product Organization, your role is to act as a servant leader and facilitator for agile teams. You are responsible for enabling team collaboration, guiding agile practices, and removing impediments to ensure successful delivery across complex initiatives. You coach multiple teams and Scrum Masters, foster alignment across capabilities, and contribute to agile maturity through leadership, metrics, and continuous improvement. You work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and deliver value through agile and hybrid delivery approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives across cross-functional or complex initiatives, ensuring consistency and alignment.
  • Proactively identifies, tracks, and removes impediments at the team and program level to optimize flow and increase delivery efficiency.
  • Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and delivery teams to improve delivery practices and align agile maturity.
  • Partners with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure backlog readiness.
  • Analyze and present team and program-level metrics (velocity, burndown, throughput) to support data-driven decisions and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Builds and maintain strong relationships with agile team members, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to support alignment and delivery.
  • Facilitates resolution of team-level impediments and interpersonal dynamics to maintain a productive and collaborative environment.
  • Communicates agile health and progress updates to stakeholders and leadership, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Drives continuous improvement through agile and Lean practices.
  • Leads and actively contribute to agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models, adapting facilitation and coordination practices to fit the initiative.
  • Serves as a mentor and escalation point for other Scrum Masters and agile practitioners.
  • Leads agile community of practice discussions and contributes to agile maturity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience coaching teams and leading agile transformations
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills • Ability to operate effectively in agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery environments
  • Experience with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus)
  • Familiarity with agile and traditional project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project)
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to mentor others and foster agile maturity across teams Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university required.
  • 4 years of experience in agile environments or IT project leadership required.
  • Advanced agile certifications (e.g., A-CSM, SAFe, ICP-ACC) preferred
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating complex initiatives
  • Background in IT project management with exposure to both agile and traditional methodologies.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Jira or other product management tools
