Duties/Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot to the component level
- Ensure the quality of work of non-certified technicians
- Inspection of incoming parts and review the supporting documentation (FAA 8130-3 and C of C)
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot to the board level
- Diagnose, test, repair, and prepare products for return to service to include certifying conformity of products
- Complete test results, teardown reports, traceability, and return to service documentation (8130-3 *if applicable* and C of C)
- Undergo recurrent training on an annual basis
- Other duties as assigned by management

Required skills/abilities
- Ability to read, write, and speak English a must
- Ability to read technical schematics, work instructions, use typical electronics bench test equipment, i.e. o-scope, multi-meter, soldering iron, power supplies, etc.
- Proficient with a PC and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Work, Outlook)
- Read and understand drawings, manuals (CMM's), work instructions, and schematics
- Computer and website navigation skills required
Knowledge, Education, and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in electronics or avionics installation and repair required
- Commercial or military flight avionics experience preffered
- Experience with ELTs (emergency locator transmitters) is highly desired
- Experience reading CMMs, drawings, and schematics
- General knowledge of FAA requirements for a FAR 145 repair station
- Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent in military training
- Experience dealing with Aviation OEM's preferred, is a plus
