Our client is seeking an experienced Oracle Postgres DBA to join their team in Tampa, FL. This is a day-one onsite role requiring a highly skilled database professional with deep expertise in Oracle DBA administration, performance tuning, and Oracle-to-Postgres migration. The ideal candidate brings hands-on migration experience transitioning legacy Oracle-based applications to modern Postgres environments.
Key Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments
• Perform performance tuning on existing applications and databases
• Support legacy application transitions to new Postgres-based platforms
• Collaborate with development and architecture teams on database design and best practices

Required Skills

• 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience
• 5+ years of performance tuning experience for existing applications
• 5+ years of experience migrating from Oracle-based legacy applications to PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with database migration methodologies and tools

Preferred Skills

• Java development experience (a plus)

Location & Work Model

Tampa, FL - Day-one onsite required. Candidates must be able to join and work from the office starting from day one. Non-local candidates must be willing to relocate.
