Job Description:
The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is seeking candidates for OPS Motor Vehicle Operators. These positions will primarily be responsible for safely transporting the Clinical Research Vehicle (CRV) in a courteous and reliable manner. In this role, the Motor Vehicle Operators augment the CTSI Clinical Research Vehicle pool of drivers, enabling the team to effectively support a growing number of community events on weekends and holidays. We currently have two part-time openings, and both are expected to average 10 hours per week.

The following outline the key duties associated with this role:

Safely transport the Clinical Research Vehicle (CRV) in a courteous and reliable manner.

  • Strictly observe Florida State traffic laws.
  • Drive the CRV to and from the assigned event/clinic site.
  • Park and set up vehicle at designated location.
  • Assist in on-site preparation of the CRV prior to clinic or promotional events.
  • Strictly observe patient confidentiality laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate driver schedules.

Maintain proper working order of the Clinical Research Vehicle (CRV).

  • Inspect the CRV prior to departure and upon return to its storage location.
  • Keep the CRV fueled.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues.
  • Prepare the CRV for return to its permanent storage location.

Expected Salary:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour; commensurate with education and experience.

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Florida commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Open availability to work weekends needed.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment for event setup.

Preferred:
  • Successful candidates must possess a Class B license.
  • Must have open availability for weekend shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
