Maintenance Technician 2

The Maintenance Technician II performs skilled general maintenance and preventative maintenance activities under the general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor to support a complex healthcare campus. The role addresses routine and non-routine maintenance issues across multiple building systems and independently completes a broader range of repairs than the Technician I level. The Maintenance Technician II supports safe, compliant, and reliable facility operations through timely maintenance, accurate documentation, and adherence to established standards and procedures with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing or related
• Three years of experience in a maintenance related field required.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of building systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general construction is required.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools used in maintenance activities is required.
• Ability to perform continuous physical activity including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and carrying objects up to seventy pounds is required.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, respond to on call assignments, and work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed is required.
