JOB SUMMARY
: The Advanced Technology Intern supports the development of innovative technology platforms by researching emerging solutions, solving complex problems, and building rapid prototypes. This role offers hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle, including design, integration, testing, and implementation of hardware, software, and interactive systems.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contributes to development of internal work in all phases from conception to final release. Scope of work may include:

  • Planning, budgeting, design, implementation, installation, testing, adjustment, and documentation;
  • Hardware, software, network, and electronic architecture;
  • Modeling, coding, data processing, prototyping, constructing, and integrating;
  • Sensors, artificial intelligence, mixed reality hardware, mixed reality software, and integrated systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Strong communication skills, problem solving, data-driven and solution-focused

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Preferred majors include: Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Controls, Computer Engineer, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Lab/project/prototyping experience
  • CAD (SolidWorks or Fusion360) experience
  • Python, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Unity, Unreal experience

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
  • All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
