Plan and conduct practices that develop sport-specific skills, conditioning, teamwork, and game strategies.
Teach sport fundamentals, rules, techniques, and strategies.
Prepare student-athletes for interscholastic competition and evaluate performance while providing constructive feedback.
Select, manage, and supervise team members during practices, games, travel, and team activities.
Promote discipline, leadership, respect, integrity, teamwork, confidence, and good sportsmanship.
Encourage academic achievement and monitor student-athlete progress.
Ensure student-athlete eligibility, required documentation, and compliance with school, district, conference, and athletic association policies.
Maintain a safe environment and follow appropriate training, injury-prevention, emergency, and supervision procedures.
Report injuries, accidents, disciplinary concerns, and other incidents as required.
Communicate professionally with students, parents/guardians, school staff, administrators, officials, and the community.
Maintain rosters, attendance, statistics, equipment records, and required documentation.
Manage uniforms and equipment and ensure athletic facilities are prepared and secured.
Assist with game-day operations and required coaching meetings, trainings, and professional development.
Serve as a positive role model and promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive team environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Athletic Director.

SEASONAL ONLY POSITION
In order to be considered for this position, applicant must currently possess a valid athletic coaching certificate, or a valid teaching certificate issued by the Florida Department of Education.
