
Associate Marketing Manager - Media Activation
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Associate Marketing Manager - Media Activation plays a key role on the in-house digital media team overseeing digital campaign development across multiple brands that drive profitable, incremental ROI. This role serves as the primary contact for the Manager of Media Activations and Digital Brand Managers to lead the planning, develop campaign structure, monitor activation and oversee the analysis of Paid Digital Media campaigns across Paid Search, Paid Social, Online Video and CTV, among others, ensuring best practices are upheld. This role ensures their team delivers flawless execution activating digital media across various brands and channels to leverage our scale, data, and insights for optimal media efficiency within the restaurant category. Associate Managers oversee and communicate the activations of their assigned brands as well as liaison with key digital media vendors.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Owns and progresses paid media campaign development by leading the development of creative briefs, guiding internal teams on activation approaches, and summarizing campaign launches and performance across multiple brands to key stakeholders.
-Defines campaign structure and execution approach to ensure alignment with brand objectives and performance goals.
-Reviews and approves paid media campaigns, ensuring alignment with objectives and best practices for flawless execution.
-Maintains and grows relationships with key media partners with a special emphasis on improving media performance at scale within proven digital channels across Darden brands.
-Manages team member(s), overseeing campaign development and guiding best-in-class activation approaches by channel.
-Leads interpretation of campaign performance and guides the development of media insights to key stakeholders, focusing on driving profitable outcomes via data-driven decisions in proven digital media channels.
-Leads all channel evaluations and defines a test and learn roadmap to improve campaign performance and execution approach.
-Supports the Manager of Media Activations in progressing channel and brand marketing performance.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
-Individuals should possess 5-8 years' relevant experience, particularly working across multiple paid media channels (e.g., Paid Search, Paid Social, Online Video, & CTV) digital media strategy & planning, and digital media campaign execution.
-Experience developing and supporting digital marketing campaigns and managing large digital media budgets and accounts.
-Familiarity building campaigns in the following Ad Manager Platforms: Google, Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, Yelp, or other relevant Ad Manager Platforms.
-Experience evaluating, measuring and optimizing Paid Digital Media through closed-loop analysis.
-Expertise in Microsoft Excel with a strong analytical mindset and appetite for data analysis that drives decision-making.
-Knowledge and continuous education of digital consumer and industry behaviors, attitudes, preferences, and needs required.
-Detail-oriented and well organized, with the ability to work collaboratively in internal project management tools and shared drives.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
-Ability to travel approximately 5% required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
-Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a relevant field required, or equivalent experience.
OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
-Detailed knowledge of Paid Digital Media tools and experience managing large account structures exceeding $1MM for a number of different clients.
-Strong analytical skills, including the ability to assess data and draw key consumer, brand, and competitive insights.
-Previous experience leading cross-functional teams.
-Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and planning work tasks.
-Proven record of results orientation.
-Proven ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
-Ability to collaborate with a variety of different business partners, both internal and external.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
-Foundational knowledge of cross-channel digital marketing preferred: Paid social, paid search, online video/CTV, programmatic display, etc.
-Experience in restaurant / retail industry is a plus.
