The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) is home to nationally recognized programs focused on health and wellness ― and a respected faculty dedicated to teaching innovations and research partnerships. The Opportunity:
The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to support the Center for Behavioral Health Research and Training (CBHRT) and the Center for Professional and Community Education (CPCE) within the School of Social Work. This role provides administrative and program support, including coordinating meetings and events, maintaining records, supporting continuing education programming, and assisting with research and outreach activities. The position works closely with faculty, staff, students, and community partners to support day-to-day operations and ensure efficient program delivery.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Center for Behavioral Health Research and Training (CBHRT) and the Center for Professional and Community Education (CPCE).
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics including room reservations and virtual meeting setups.
Take meeting minutes and maintain organized records and documentation.
Assist with travel coordination, purchasing processes, invoices, and expense reporting using Workday.
Coordinate events and support planning efforts, including arranging logistics, catering, materials, and on-site or virtual event execution.
Serve as a liaison with internal departments, college offices, and external partners to support administrative and program needs.
Compile and maintain data related to research activities, publications, presentations, and grant-funded work
Manage participant and program data, including tracking attendance, maintaining records, and supporting reporting needs.
Generate and distribute certificates and maintain continuing education records, including CEU-related documentation and systems.
Support continuing education programming by coordinating logistics such as webinars, calendars, and communications.
Assist with communications and outreach efforts, including emails, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Support recruitment and engagement efforts involving students, community partners, and event participants.
Maintain files and documentation for events and programs, including attendance logs, recordings, and related materials.
Perform additional administrative duties as assigned in support of departmental operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a higher education or nonprofit setting.
Experience using Cobblestone or similar procurement/contract management systems.
Experience using Canva, InDesign, PowerPoint, or similar design and presentation tools.
Experience planning and coordinating events or programs.
Experience creating or editing newsletters or other communications materials.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $17.64 - $21.61 The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
